    Hey Folks Can anyone recommend (ideally in the UK) a decent company that does welding on crankcases. I need the final drive penetration welding up and machining back so I can re-instate the oil seal. Big job I know but I'm trying to plan it for this winter and looking for suggestions. Any help...

    Thanks good link ;), shopping for a replacment motor now it'll then buy me a bit of time to strip repair and re-build!

    It is a stone, I can only imaging that when it lodged itself in between the sprocket and seal it had a few rougher corners on it before it shredded the oil seal and crankcases. Absolutely gutted

    @NBRC thanks I'll see tonight. I think your suggestions of coolant pump o ring or shaft seal may be most likely. I guess I'll see later

    Thanks @Brammers will be doing a thorough clean down tonight. I'll repost with more info. Fairly certain it's not chain lube though.
