Looks sweet as man. I have the same bike :)

I didn't go for the Akra because it was a bit expensive, but that looks really good.

If I could recommend- Go and get that derestrict done! The bike is great, but SO underwhelming whilst LAMS restricted. You'll get over DOUBLE hp gain with the tune. It's like riding a whole new bike..

Thanks man. I'm a big guy as well so it was suggested to derestrict to help with the extra weight. Can't wait to see the difference

It will absolutely blow you away. Especially if this is one of your first bikes.

The LAMS CBR is honestly very slow. I had a LAMS MT07 before my CBR and I really think the MT was significantly faster. When I got mine tuned the 'Before' dyno came out at 37hp.. Derestricted it to 86.5hpo_O - You'll probably get a little bit more with the Akra. I'm running a Black Widow exhaust, and standard air filters.

I looked at the MT07 but it really didn't fit me very well at all. Did you notice much difference down low or is it all peak power

MT07 was great for snappy city riding, popping wheelies at any opportunity. It was a hooligan bike just in the style you ride it.
Lots of torque, snap the throttle on in any gear and you'll get good acceleration. MT07 peak power is still actually more than the CBR I think. Looking up dyno graphs, LAMS MT07 makes ~42hp. My LAMS CBR made 37hp.

I rode my MT07 to the dealer when I went to test ride the CBR, and getting off the MT and straight onto the Honda, I could REALLY notice the power difference- torque placebo effect or not, I'm sure I could rip the MT around quicker.

Overall if you're gonna stay restricted, my MT07 was great, I had heaps of fun popping wheelies and being a little hoon.
I personally don't think the restricted CBR is that great. I bought my CBR with full intention of derestricting it ASAP.

Interestingly enough, even with the fairing I am MUCH more comfortable lane-splitting through heavy traffic on the CBR than the MT. The CBR feels much skinnier.
