Hello friends!
I recently joined the forum as a new owner of a 04/2021 Candy Cromosphere Red CB650R, my 6th bike over the last 11 years.
After a 3-year pause on riding (mostly caused by dress code on work) I bought a 2019 SV650, as a huge fan of naked bikes. BUT my daily commute included many >100kmh roads and the SV just did not give much confidence suspension-wise. Tried ohlins shock and front springs with not the expected result, so either I would have to place a bet on cartridge kit (the front end was the problem) or switch to another bike. The result was a brand new CB650R, since I could not cope with the clip-ons of the CBR, which would be my ideal bike with a handlebar.
Compared to the SV, looks are better, suspension is way way better, brakes as well, engine is better-suzuki V2 was my favorite but they destroyed the sound.
Although the CB is well equiped from the factory, I ended up changing some stuff, since this happens to be my money-draining hobby, so:
-Morimoto super7 bi-led headlight, since the oem headlight is slightly brighter than a candle. Not the prettiest, but form follows function.
-Barracuda rear indicators and Rizoma fronts, as leftovers from previous bikes
-Rizoma 30Gradi grips, matching the color of wheels and engine
-ASV shorty levers
-RDMoto frame sliders, mounting in two spots
-Givi tanklocked case on top of the tank, slightly modified in order not to block ignition key removal
-Under-seat non-switched 12V socket.
I hope that you like it and that I will be able to contribute to this forum.
