Aftermarket Cheap Tail Tidy wiring

Hi All,

I'll make this one faster.

I bought an aftermarket tail tidy. It has a wiring in it (license plate led/light) having red and black wires.

Now on my stock license plate light/led. It has green and brown.

Now what I did is i connect the green to red and brown to black. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

But sadly my license plate did not give light when i tried it.

Can anyone enlighten me if i have done wrong or something.

LEDs are polarity-sensitive and you have the polarity backwards. Green is ground and brown is positive 12V for the wires used on the OEM license light.

Hook the aftermarket LED black wire to the bike's green wire and the aftermarket LED red wire to the bike's brown wire, and it should work.

Brown is active,as is the red wire. So should be brown to red,and black to green. Also if its a bulb you put in,as stated above,they only work one way,try bulb pushed in opposite way,cheers mate
