I want to install plug directly on battery terminals to be able to connect my Optimate charger onto it w/o need to remove seat (for standard charging and also maintenance charging during off season period).
To do this I need to disconnect battery for some minutes - question is if I do so, does it then require some specific actions when connecting battery back? I'm concerned especially about quickshifer.
For example on my BMW R1200GS LC it is mandatory to re-calibrate quickshifter after each battery disconnection and re-connection.

I hooked up my Optimate to the battery and using the SAE connector lead for quick plug n play. There's nothing in the manual about having to re-calibrate the quickshifter (but then there's no information about the quickshifter in the manual at all).

I've just checked the installation guide for the quickshifter and there's no mention of any configuration/calibration at all so you should be good to disconnect the battery without any issues.

No problem at all, you can disconnect the battery to mount your connector lead and connect it again.

Don't know about quickshifter but all you need to do after reconnecting the battery is reset the time on the clock. Always had Optimate 'plug and play ' leads connected to battery on my bikes .
