CBR650F Blaster-X Integrated tail light acting up

Hello!, So I purchased a 2015 CBR650F about 3 weeks ago that came with a Blaster X integrated tail light and a Tail tidy with integrated blinkers. I was informed when purchasing the bike that the taillight would rarely not illuminate the brake lights and restarting the bike would fix it. About a week later it started happening pretty regularly. I then noticed that upon start up of the bike that when the brakelight was stuck in the "mode" of not illuminating, the taillight would be lit up yellow in standby And when it was working properly the tail light would be red in standby.

I then found that after turning the key on and before pressing the ignition to turn the bike on fully, I could tap the brake once before ignition and the brake light would illuminate correctly WHILE changing the standby color of the light to red, Ultimately fixing the problem....Why is this happening? I shouldnt have to light my brakes up before turning the bike over just to have my brake light working correctly

Sounds like some crummy electronics inside the light itself. I had the motodynamics in both my 650F and 600RR and no issues at all after thousands of miles.
