Well it was way better if the stock bars are too extreme but the whole project doesn't work for a 69 YO with motorbike crash induced back damage, so the bike's on the market as well. If raising the bars is your goal this worked great and I think all the parts were $200. Easy to remove and replace, other than drilling out the anti-tamper ignition switch fasteners.
I'm back to riding my 550. I tried clip-on risers but that whole process looked weird.

That's very cool well done. Maybe honda should of just made cbrs with the choice of either handlebar:p

Was so uncomfortable, I nearly put my Ducati SS800 (with extreme, low/forward factory "Ricky Racer" clip-ons, at 68 YO I could not endure) on the market.
Finished a "bar rise" project this spring, earning a much more comfortable riding position. Used Apex 3" riser/adjustable clip-on, the expense and effort paid off. No longer contemplating selling, back to keeper status now.

Didn't intend to bore y'all with detail....but thats the "expense and effort" I referred to.....+3" clutch hose (custom made at local hydraulics house based on my original as sample) Coupled with some other routeing changes, I fabbed a +3" FI fast idle cable and extended front brake switch wiring as needed all by my lonesome. Working without flaw, major comfort improvement.

OP, sorry for threadjack.
