Hi everyone, I'm new here and I'm looking for some help. I have a 2017 Honda cb650f abs with 9k km and I noticed a slight exudation only and only in the place indicated in the photo, everything else is perfectly dry.

1)Does anybody has/had the same problem? Is that normal?

2)If not, before going to mechanic and replace the gasket, can I try to tighten the bolts with the correct torque specs? Does anyone know what are the correct torque specs for valvet cover?

Thanks for all the answers!

1) My 650F doesn't have it. But water pump oil leak was occurred like attached picture. I had replaced the pump and it solved.

2) According to the service manual, torque specs for head cover is 10Nm.
You can check it yourself from below.

I would clean it and see if it comes back. That’s right at the spot Honda recommends you put sealant to hold the gasket in place during valve cover replacement so that may not be actual leakage but sealer.

I have already cleaned it twice. But if I not clean it, the oil "disappeared" because it evaporates. it's too little for it to remain. Anyway, I'll try with tighten first, then I don't know... What do you suggest? Wait to see if it will get worst? Or replace the gasket?

If it evaporates, I’d suggest leaving it until it gets worse or doesn’t evaporate. Wouldn’t hurt to check torque, however.

It seems to be a common problem for this model, I bought my new 2018 cb650f with this problem (it will evaporate and leave a white stain), I had to request the warranty, after it was fixed I have had no more problems

The "white stain" might not have been an actual fault - but without pictures it's almost impossible to say for sure.

The rubber does leech a white powdery substance which can be wiped off and over time stops happening. My 2014 no longer does it.

Hi Maziro, can i ask you a question? When you had problems with the water pump, did you find oil on the ground?
