He can be a bit of a douche in the sense that he overestimates his own knowledge and expertise. He usually doesn't give off any poser vibes and seems honest enough about things. It's that he misinterprets things due to a lack of knowledge. I'm not sure what he's moaning about with the clutch. It's like he doesn't know there's a slipper clutch on there or doesn't know what a slipper clutch is.

You should watch his latest bike giveaway video... They forgot to torque down bolts and the chain started to come loose as well as the fact they didn't do any adjustment on said chain. The rear sprocket looked like it was going to fly off and this was while he was riding for his "shake down ride". All that knowledge and he didn't know that they didn't torque bolts. So dumb

I'll chime in here by simply stating...I cannot stand "Vloging", or whatever it's called. Talking while riding and recording yourself is stupid. I guess there's a bunch of people who enjoy these "Vlogs" so have at it. But to me, they all sound the same, they all talk the same, and they're all people self-glossing about what bad-ass riders they think they are.

I'll make an exception to Ari's vlogs because I trust he knows what he's talking about. But these weekend riders...it's like listening to a girlfriend tell you how her day was!!! Nails on a chalkboard!

I agree, I like watching some of them, (the ones that don't talk so much) but most of the time, No.

There's some funny stuff on youtube occasionally, but an awful lot of 20 minute videos that could have the same info written in four or five sentences. It'd probably be more enjoyable to see the entire website wiped out.

When you get a proper reviewer like EnglishBikerDan @EnglishBikerDan and the likes. They engage you into the conversation, with normal honest chat, but don't over egg the bullshit. I loved looking for videos when deciding what bike to get.

But this guy wins the total fud award for crap reviews.

Sorry, but I’ve yet to see a VLOG worth the time I lost in my life attempting to watch it. What makes someone think their ride into work, blabbering about whatever just comes to their mind and just general nonsense talk needs to be posted online for others to see? And why does everyone with a GoPro think they should be reviewing a motorcycle or telling me about how well their “mod” went while walking around in sweatpants and flip flops using dollar store tools?

There’s a fine line between informational, entertaining, educational and worth while. And the amount of misinformation not to mention simply bad advice out there that’s blindly followed simply because it’s in a video is crazy.

There are a number of good, instructional videos about bicycle maintenance, some OK ones on guitar instruction, a few of the motorcycle suspension ones have some decent info on them. And someone on here has been posting lately, can’t remember who, and those aren’t too bad. But good ones are just so few and far between in the motorcycle world. Ari’s MC Garage and 44Teeth crew are the only ones I will regularly watch and not have to shake my head in disgust.

And yeah, that guy that replaced Zack and Ari is a gigantic tool.......

Agree, but to be fair, Zack and Ari might be the hardest act to follow in moto video history. Respect to the guy for trying.
I’ll give you that.

The problem is, everywhere has that problem. From online shopping reviews to tests to first rides to long term reviews to the YouTube douches.......it’s hard to find someone:

- Informational
- Entertaining
- Knowledgeable
- Believable
- Honest
- No “sponsor” leanings. At least not overwhelming

Find all those things, you have a show, bike review or a decent product review worth watching.
