This week's mods are all about improving the bike's comfort:
1. Nitron NTR R1 rear shock - The roads are really cracked and bumpy here in Toronto. The bike feels so much better with this Nitron shock, I'm no longer afraid of bumps or potholes. Also feels super planted in the corners.
2. Bar risers - This was tricky because of how tight the cables are. The mechanic managed to fit the bar risers on using the stock cables, but the trade off is that he had to increase the throttle free play a bit. It's a much easier reach to the bars now and the riding posture feels a lot more comfortable.
3. Sato Racing Inner bar weights and bar ends - These really help dampen the vibrations coming through the handlebars.
4. Custom seat foam - Took the OEM seat to an upholstery shop and added some duo density foam. The seat feels more plush and vibrations are reduced too.
All of these mods combined make the bike so much more comfortable to ride on city streets.
