All 650Rs Difference CB650RA vs CB650R

I am researching a used purchase around model years 2019-2021.
I ran across these pricing pages and wonder what the differences and how can I tell which version I amy be looking at when found.

I always thought the A designation was for ABS variant. In north america I think they give you options to buy non ABS bikes? In europe this is generally not a thing so they dont bother distinguish.

But now I'm not so sure. Maybe someone else can answer that better.

But if your talking about the difference in form factor I supose one is more sport orientated with more plastics and fairings with a slightly more aggressive siting position, the other is a "naked" bike

Correct. A is ABS. I think all R models are standard. (Correct me if thats not true). ABS was an option on US F models based on the color you bought (seriously)

i believe the '19 model had an option for ABS in the US. it may have become standard in a later model year
