Hey,

Today I was installing a new mods on my CBR650R and I found out that the wire from the front turn signal only has 2 wires with a 3 pin connector. Is this normal?

My idea was to connect a wire to the running light of the turn signal but it is missing, so, has anyone any advice from where is the best spot to connect this wire?

That's unfortunate, the mirrors I'm about to install have a DRL...well, I guess the best thing to do is to get professional help.

Thank you for your help!

is there any easy way to get this added to the CBR650R?
I'm not sure, I saw a lot of wires passing through but they are all isolated and I didn't want to make a bunch of cuts in the wires.

Still, considering that the US version has this wire, I believe that wouldn't be hard but you do need to find the right wire among the multiples passing by (which can be tricky).

I was thinking about this, and im no expert but I assume the always on DRL wire in the wing mirrors would have to be tapped into a clean switched ignition feed. US models come with this already integrated into the the connectors.

I Have a Haynes manual that has a circuit layout for all 650 hondas including US and european versions and and could see the difference between the two.

There is a feed going to the horn which I think could be tapped into.

Tap into purple, switched 12v accessories feed. There's a connection on the left side, by the airbox on the 650r.

If all you need is always on 12v that is.

Well, I ended up asking the workshop (during the service maintenance) to connect the mirror DRL wire and they said that they would need to create a connection from scratch and disassemble the bike apart for that.

Also, they said that connecting this wire directly to the headlights could damage it so, all this time I've been riding without it but, I would really really like to make it work.

As I'm not very experienced with electronics, could someone give me a tip on how to make this work?
To what extent, could I damage the headlights just for connecting this wire?
