What a blast!!!
Do not hesitate it's a must
Correct. Autoblip is much more involved than a simple power kill on upshift, and more expensive programming and accessories are needed. To "quickshift" down, you would need an auto-blip yes? So downshifts are still the same as usual?
I shift around 5000-6000rpm with the QS normal street riding. Actually quite smooth!Completely agree, the Honda QS is just a bit of bling, token jesture really. Regards Jluu's comment he uses his all the time isn t it a bit too clunky to be using a QS at low revs? Not yet tried it properly but scared l'd wreck the gearbox it might be so clunky ;-(
Who makes it, where did you get it?By the way l fitted a gear shaft support bearing in readiness for the QS you maybe able to just see it in the picture, belt n braces really, cant say it makes the gear change any better ..
Who makes it, where did you get it?
Seems Honda aren't what they used to be, l've gone grey chasing matters with Honda customer services. They are so slow to respond and tend to give a couldn t care less, generic response. Sorry l cant help other than to say they really did drop the ball regards the supply of QS's but you will get it. My advice, now l've seen how they are made (rose joint built into the unit) to be honest would buy an aftermarket one, some change up and down and have autoblip while the Honda QS only does upshifts ! At over £300 the Honda one isn t cheap eitherMy patience was gone last week! Send some emails to Honda regarding my Quick shifter! Ordered on 22-1-2020 and still nothing! They said I had to contact the dealer, but the Honda dealerships in the Netherlands are kept in the dark with delivery dates! I emailed Honda to explain them that it’s not the dealership fault but Honda who is hiding behind there dealerships and not delivering Quick shifters an tell there customers to sort it out with there dealer.
Honda send me a email back, where they asking me for a order number. I told them that this is not the way it works, dealerships normally don’t give order numbers to there customers. Honda kept insisting for the order number, so I called my dealer and they gave it to me. (I kept my dealer informed about all my email actions towards Honda). Now the best part is coming, Honda contacted my dealer and told them, that they shouldn’t give order numbers to there customers 🤔! My dealer backed me up and told them that they read all the emails from me with Honda an that this wasn’t okay how Honda is treading there customers and dealerships! After this argument with Honda and my dealer, Honda send me a email, that the Quick shifter will be delivered this week at my dealer.
£300?? My price for the equivalent unit is US$155!
