Hello all.

I'm Quinn. Been waiting to buy myself a cbr650r for over a year now. And now I'm finally ready to pull the trigger, and everything's out of stock :arghh:

So, hopefully, eventually, I'll have my bike

Bit about me. Been riding for 14 years. Had a 2006 600f4i, and a 2011 600RR. My RR got stolen from my apt complex 3 years ago, and haven't had a bike since. Promised myself I'd wait til I had a house with a garage. Well, finally got a garage, now can't get the bike...

I also drive a 2018 Honda Fit, slightly modded, as a cage

Welcome to the forum Quinn
Well at least you will have some time to prepare the the garage for your new acquisition

I like the positive thinking! But the garage has already been prepared, new gear bought, etc.

Guess I can save up for a bigger downpayment :dead:

Welcome!!! My dad currently has an 06 F4i, I had an ‘11 600RR and a ‘14 CBR650F, the CBR650R will be the perfect combination of all of them.

It’ll come, just be patient :)

Not sure where you’re located in the US but I did a quick search on Cycle Trader and found a few available if you wanted to do a fly-and-ride:

Clearly you and your dad have good taste in bikes!

I will check Cycle Trader, might be worth it. I'm located in E TN, so not much around me here

Welcome to the forum
Are you close to Knoxville?
I'm in Nashville and hitting the dragon this weekend with a few friends, will be going to that area quite often since there is my friend's cousin.

Well, I wish you to find the ride ASAP. 😅

FYI, there is a used cbr650r here in Nashville, I know it's a long distance if you're E TN, but better than nothing
not sure what you're looking for, if new or used

I am in Knoxville. Actually found one in Chattanooga, hopefully talking to the salesperson on the phone later today to iron out the details

Thanks miweber for the recommendation of cycle trader

Finally brought her home yesterday. 2 hour ride in 95 degree heat was not a fun way to start. But she handles great :)

you guys look great lol 😂
I'm glad you finally made it, and you started off with some rough conditions. But I say it's always worth a good ride even in hot or cold temps.
In the past days, I rode with full gear (leather perf jacket) even with these hot temps, while I see most of the riders with plain t shits and shorts 😰, too many squids around!!!
anyways, enjoy it in the meantime, I'll be back in Knoxville soon!!! and be safe.

ya, it was still a fun ride, except for getting stuck in traffic for 15 minutes. that was rough. cant wait to get back out more often. And I agree, I'm all about the ATGATT life. I usually don't ride in temps over 85-90 because its too hot to comfortably wear all the gear. Rather miss a few days of riding, than ride without gear or be so uncomfortable I can't focus

Congrats!!! Glad she's home with ya.

Heat?!?! It's been over 100 degrees here with the heat index for the past two weeks! Ha! I definitely get what you're saying. It makes it very uncomfortable to ride when it's that hot. Unfortunately in Florida, and being a teacher, summers are my "free time" so I suck it up most of the time. There are many days I'll take the heat over not riding at all. If I wait until the weather is nice then it'll be during the school year and I won't be able to unless it's a weekend. (I admit I've been riding with just helmet and gloves lately. I'm normally a jacket, gloves, helmet and boots rider - with overpants on the way and back to work...but at these temps I'll risk it without a jacket.)

Get a few more miles on her and make sure to give us your review. That sure is one sweet looking ride!
