All 650Rs How to wire in a phone charger

Hi all. I am installing a phone charger and need some help with the wiring. It's a standard car cigarette lighter phone charger, first pic below.

I want to wire it in into the same circuit as the license plate light, which is on a 7.5A fuse along with the dashboard. The circuit is pulling 375mA with the ignition on and engine off, which is probably just the dashboard itself, but I can't figure out if there is anything else on the same circuit that may pull more amps other than maybe the speed sensor. I need 4 amps for the charger.

I consulted the service manual but the circuit in there doesn't even show the license plate LED being connected in the wiring diagram. What am I missing?

You want to find green and purple wires. They go to the optional connector which is a switched 12v on a dedicated 7.5a fuse.

Being switched it avoids the risk of a flat battery with the key off if you leave something plugged in.

Thank you for the suggestions. I think I was just making this more difficult than it needed to be.

I found the dedicated accessory socket and it had a dummy plug to keep water and stuff out. It was just a regular plug but without the terminals so I installed the terminals in it and made my own cable.

I did something similar I brought a water proof usb plug from Jaycar and did the same thing and its got a rubber cap to place over the socket when not in use.
