So I noticed last night there’s some sort of liquid coming out from the valve cover gasket doesn’t look like oil when it dries up it turns white I’ve noticed the white material before but I thought it’s soap from washing but know i know its not Does anyone have any idea what it can be?

That's plasticiser coming from the rubber. As the compound leaches out the rubber gets slightly stiffer.

Nothing to worry about, it will slow down over time - just keep wiping it off.

thanks for the Quick answer, but whay is it only coming from one side?

Had it with tubing in my water-cooled pc.

Honda do recommend the seal is replaced when valves are done... Most likely to counter the natural hardening of the rubber.

Yeah, mine does this as well. I actually had a different question, if I touch the valve covers on the right side of my engine, they feel tight like they don’t move. However on the left side of my engine, they have more play. Is this normal?

Hello.

You can´t imagine how many times this was discussed here.

This is not a leak, it´s rubber gasket material releasing it´s oils. It alternates between an oily substance when hot, and a white powdery appearance when cold.
It´s not an oil leak, it´s not a problem, it will disappear after a year or so. Ignore it.

I had exactly this concern with mine from new, as stated above after about a year it stopped and i have never had any issues with losing Oil, or indeed any other issues!

My CBR has 150 km, and I noticed a clear, oily-looking substance on the valve cover. It has no smell and doesn’t look like oil. Do I really need the valve cover gasket replaced on a brand-new bike?
Now my bike is 500km still releasing oily thing with no smell

It seems these "leaks" are quite common...
As long as oil and temperature are at normal levels, I don't give it much importance. Just keeping an eye on it.

They are coming from an area where a dab of sealant should be placed. Maybe a few examples are missing this at the factory.

Can easily be fixed at the first valve check service.
