CBR650F Low Fuel Irritation

I have a 2014 CBR650F. Overall, I absolutely love this bike. I've recently surpassed 29,000 miles on it.

I really only have this one, very minor, complaint. When the bike gets to the low fuel condition - down to that last segment on the gage - I hate that it resets my trip odometer! I don't mind when the last segment begins flashing and it reports how much fuel I've used. I use this feature to TRULY know when I NEED to get gas. But, seriously, Honda... Leave my trip odometer alone please.

Do you folks know if there is a way to disable this particular feature of the dash??? Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the trip counter resets when you fill up?

If so, that can be disabled... Steps to do so are in the owners (not service) manual.

I don't know if it can be disabled, but what's being shown is how long you've been running on the reserve fuel. When you fill up and turn the bike back on, I'm pretty sure your original trip counter and timer is displayed.
