Hello!

First post on this forum so please be kind ^^
I'm a happy owner of a 2018 CB650F since May last year. It was one of the few that was left, and i preferred the looks of this one compared to the newer CB650R (which looks pretty good as well of course :D). Because of the laws in my country i have to ride it restricted at 35kw. I'm having a blast on this bike and can't think of anything negative experiences with it so far!

Nex year i will take a motorcycle course and be able to ride anything i want, and i think i will keep this bike and remove the restriction. Did anyone here start with a restricted one and later remove it? If so, did you feel any differences? As far as i understand, the power is the biggest difference. How much of a difference is it?
Also, if anyone got another bike instead, please tell why. Sorry in advance for my english as it is not my first language :p

Welcome to the forum and mine is restricted too so i'm interested in this thread too, all i know is 48hp and 41nm restricted, 95hp(91hp for the F model) and 64nm non restricted, so i can ensure you will notice some pretty decent difference for sure, but curious about listening from someone that experienced it

From about 45 horsepower to roughly 90 horsepower will be insane for you lol. I am so sorry your country restricts the bikes :( come to the USA! lol

Haha yeah, can't wait! :p I kinda understand the reasoning behind restricting bikes so new riders dont jump on a 1000cc right away, but It's a pain to wait :D

trust me, Portugal have the same thing and im happy it is like this, for first bike one 600cc + full power is already too easy to get f*cked, with 24 years or 2 years of A2 u can reach A, there u have more brain(or not xD) or at least u have 2 years of riding something beginner friendly.

tbh atm i don't feel the need of it full power, i can get fun with it restricted, for sure later i'll derestrict it
