Just received and installed my evotech crash protection.

https://evotech-performance.com/products/honda-cb650f-no-drill-crash-protection-2015

First off I like evotech. They make good quality products. And customer service is spot on.
I had a issue with their radiator guard (earlier post) and upon emailing them they took back the part and also excluded the 2018 from the website so no one else will have the Same issue.

On to the frame sliders.

The fitment was perfect.
Time to install was basically nothing.
Takes 0 mechanical skill, Just a couple wrenches.
for frame sliders they look good. But that’s subjective. I like the paint job on them. It has a slight ripple texture.

My only change is I’ll probally paint the bolts black.

Also pricey. They are definitely pricey.
My parts dealer got them in at a discount for me which was nice though.

Its the farthest sticking out object on the bike. Not sure how much farther you need it to go.
I’ll take a measurement tomorrow when I go for a ride.

When sliding across the road the slider will grind down as well, reducing clearance. I think that's something to take into account as well here.

Been fairly lazy this morning. But finally went out to get some measurements.

Your guys concern was it hitting the engine case.

As you can see engine case goes to exactly the beginning of the puck. So it sticks out 5CM past the engine case.

Curious to how far you guys think it should stick out to not hit the engine case?

Aaaah sorry bud, not quite what I meant.
Take the bike off it's stand and lie it down on the ground, say r/h side. Does the Slider prevent the bottom of your engine cases from touching the ground ? Put a jacket or something down first for protection.

The majority of the weight was resting on the puck which is good.

It does touch the engine case at the very bottom. But the weight was not really resting on it which is good.

I think you would deff get scratched up good at bottom but I’m thinking it would stop the majority of damage.

the handlebar ends weren’t touching ground either although I’m sure a at speed crash it would be very different 6B6D7262-60D3-48BE-B2AD-DAFC4817B969.jpeg

The blanket does make it very hard to tell properly. Had to run my hand under there to really tell. And then had my brother lower and lift it a little bit at the end to feel where the weight really was at.
Not sure how else to really test it without crashing

Excellent stuff, well done you and bro :)
The R&G Aero ones I had fitted at purchase are exactly the same, which is why I treated myself to the GB covers as well. The R&G ones aren't ideal, especially as they are single mounted, however I only need them to protect my paintwork in a tip over. Any bike in the UK that is involved in an accident is generally written off by the Insurers so it doesn't actually matter if the single mounting affects anything in a crash as the bike is gone anyway. There are plenty of sidecasings on ebay for sale.....complete with scrapes lol

Was looking at GB website. Did you use the CBR covers on your CB? I assume it’s the same.

Yes it's the same engine. I didn't get the full set of 3 though, just the 2 lower ones. I will point out though that I painted mine the same bronze colour as the engine. I didn't want to lose the look by putting a black case over bronze, if you know what I mean

That was my next question. Is there any brand that does the same bronze colour as stock? I like it more than the black.

Thecult,I have the RSV sliders on my 2014 cbr650f and these sliders were use on most 650's at the Bangkok tracks
where many low-side crashes happen. Now the feed back i got was the 3 point sliders all held in the crashes with
little damage. Also i just put the tape to my sliders and they are 6 inches long same as yours,it must be a standard
length.
