Hey, so the other day I was riding back home from work about a 20km ride, nothing notable happened, I got a check engine and my traction control light came on as well as my temp gauge blinking with full bars, I stopped the bike for a couple minutes and started it (check engine still lit) I rode home 1 km, normally when I park and kill switch my bike my fans would be working overtime to cool the bike but they just weren’t on. I let thé bike rest for about an hour and started it (no check engine, no blinking temp gauge) I rode it up my street and back there were no strange noises, the bike idled at 1200-1250rpms and it seemed fine.

Today I went to go ride it and as I primed the fuel pump the temp gauge was flashing full bars again and the radiator fans were going full tilt… I tried starting the bike and it turned over but had an immense amount of trouble starting, it did start for all of 3 seconds and then the engine cut. I turned off the bike and am not gonna touch it I have an appointment for Tuesday with a mechanic.

There are no weird sounds or smells, the feel of the bike when I got the check engine was no different than any other time I rode it. There’s no leaks, the oils only been used 2000km still clear and just under max fill line.

Other notes, I have a black widow full system with the baffle in (no tune) (bike has a fuel average of 6.1 L/100km ( I do beat the shit out of the bike) 2019 CBR650R 11300km on the dash, haven’t done any maintenance other than two oil changes. Always use 94 octane gas. When I took the bike apart to install the exhaust everything looked in order.

Sorry for the long post just wanted to give all the details, if you want give your best guess I’ll post what the issue was after my visit with the mechanic.
