Hi from Finland, so I'm sorry about my english.
It is really hard to find any information about parts and accessories in Finland, so that's why I'm here.

What crashpads or bars do you use? You can also post pictures if you want!

I have been looking these: https://www.cb650shop.com/en/products/233-cb650r-crashpads.html
I hope you understad what I'm asking: that picture in that link: does crashpad come more out from bike MORE than that silver color part where is CB sticker. I don't remember the word in english, I'm sorry.
I mean does crashpad protect also that part of bike, because it is so "out from bike". If don't, then crashpad would be useless to protect.

I’ve never seen those before but they look OK because they are using multiple points to mount.

As far as them needing to stick out farther than the silver cowl, the only way that would be the case would be if you laid the bike down completely horizontal because the bike is wedge (or triangular) shaped so if you were to tip it over, that would (or should) hit before the cowl ever would.

Just know that while those protectors are called frame sliders (or crash bobbins, crash pads, whatever they are called in your area) they are not really “crash protectors” as much as “tip over” protectors. In an actual “crash” they are just as likely to cause more damage as they are to help alleviate damage; it’s really a crap shoot which way they go. In a parking lot, gas station or garage tip over, they can be quite helpful.

Hope this helps!!!!

Thank you! Yes my english isn't so good, I don't know every word for special things. Of course if I would be someday in crash those doesn't save the bike, but for falling I think those would be ok? My problem is height and my feet. So if ground is not straight, it is small hill etc. then my feet does not reach the ground enough, and I had few situations that falling was close. Even manhole covers (i use google translate for some words, i hope that is right word) can be problem :D
My first "training bike" (Kawasaki er6n) had those crash pads and they saved the bike AND my feet many times. I think those were Puig Crash Pads. Not so pretty ones but they worked well.

Ok, thanks! Yes finnish summer is great if it is not so rainy. Here in eastern finland we have a lot of lakes and small roads :)
Those crash pads are silimary or even the same ones that i have been thinking. I have CB650r.

Do you have any tips how i could attach my dog's box back of the bike? My old kawasaki er-6n had great handles so i could attach it. It is like this: https://deemeed.com/series/pet-bag/petbag-medium-cordura.html

I have these, too. They really look good on the bike and I like the two point mounting options over the 1 point options out there.

Arent these the type of two point guards people have warned against in the past? The front mounting point being fine. But the rear mount not being attached directly to frame or itself is the issue. It is attached to the frame via a brace, but, on the other side of that brace it's attached to the engine casing. I distinctly remember reading a couple threads on these type of "protection" that inadvertently totaled out the bike in a relatively minor accident because the force transferred to that engine case mount and snapped it off the engine case itself. They look good, don't get me wrong. I just see a potential issue there.

Case in point

It's definitely a possibility. That's just the odds in a motorcycle crash, though. I figure for every couple stories where they total the bike, there's a lot more where it saves it. I will always carry full coverage on my bikes (and cars for that matter), so if there was a seriously unlucky instance like the two you mentioned, I'd probably just collect insurance and get a new bike.
