Hi,

Thought I start this thread for people who had protection, and what they thought.

I got rear ended, had the T-rex racing engine guard worked, engine sides were protected.
The T-rex stuff got damaged, but it did it's job.

They are NOT made out of metal but some type of hard plastic.

Also had Sata Racing frame sliders installed. They got damaged too.

The only damage to the bike was the side top nose of the my CBR650F got scratched.
Major parts were untouched.

My two cents, frame sliders do NOT protect the engine covers, you need covers to do that.
Seeing other CB/CBR650F owners seems to have the same issue.

Thoughts?

I uninstalled the SW-Motech frame sliders after numerous people had bolts shearing off and one member had the engine block crack.

I installed the GB Racing covers. So far, so good. I like the look of the Sato racing sliders you have posted. I’ll check them out, thanks for the heads up.

I like your GB Racing covers, my bike is going through the insurance claim. I might upgrade to your engine cover.
