I have just rented and owned smaller bikes up to 250 but now think of buying a cb650f. I like to practice simple gymkhana so I will focus on good crash protection. The bike will probably fall at low speeds regularly.
Which is the best crash protection for the bike, and me.
Crashed my bike recently and I'm going through trying to figure out everything that needs replaced. I already know I need new front forks, handlebars, left pedal, and mirrors. I started the bike to move it to my backyard to start taking it apart and noticed what sounds like the fuel pump but...
Ok so this will take a different turn (I hope) than other crash protection threads. I’ve looked through a lot and can’t find what I’m looking for.
I’m looking for some sort of drop damper, ie adhesive foam pads or some sort of thing like that you can put on the main contact points.
I’m trying...

Wanting to get something that can take repeated low speed drops in moto gymkhana, keeping damage limited to the crash bars themselves. This looks pretty awesome, but it's only for CB 650. Another candidate I've found is R-Gaza crash bars. Anyone tried any R-Gaza stuff before?
I have just recieved these crash protectors for my cbr, the fitting instructions say to not exceed 40nm of torque however the service manual says the torque setting for the bolt it is replacing is 49nm. Any suggestions as to what torque setting should be used here?
Hi guys,
New rider here. I was practicing U-turns in a yard when I had a very low speed drop. The R+G aero sliders did their job for the engine, but the brake lever took the brunt at the front (R+G bar end sliders didn’t do anything) and also a slight scratch on the exhaust.
My question is...
Advice please guys.
I had a very minor hicup yesterday, I'm blaming a emergency stop when a sheep ran out but it caused me to lay the bike down. I got off pretty lightly but its made me think about getting some protection for the engine and paint work. It is my first bike and this is my first...
I was encouraged to do a quick write-up of the A-Stars Tech Air 5 airbag vest I just bought. I have been considering one for about a year, since I do a lot of commuting through LA in traffic. This article pushed me over the cliff...

has anyone tried the K2 Crash Bars for the CB650F (2018)?
They're the only bars I've found so far that could actually protect the engine casings but I wanted to gather opinions & experiences before taking the plunge.

Hi,
Thought I start this thread for people who had protection, and what they thought.
I got rear ended, had the T-rex racing engine guard worked, engine sides were protected.
The T-rex stuff got damaged, but it did it's job.
They are NOT made out of metal but some type of hard plastic...
