Hi all,
Just been on my first bike tour over to France, riding my ‘22 CBR650R with Kriega luggage. Opted for a tail bag combo rather than riding with a rucksack on my back. A US-30 was my main bag containing clothes, whilst I attached a US-20 to each side for additional clothing and all the “need to get to quick” gear such as waterproofs, puncture repair kit, spare engine oil etc etc. Kriega provide plenty of straps to allow different combo’s and is quality gear (not cheap but worth what you pay) It stayed put for 1000 miles, kept everything dry and wasnt in the way when being strapped down hard for the ferry crossing. Compact enough to still allow lane splitting thru stationary M5 traffic for the ride back home.

No, not really, so long as when you're putting the bags on you make sure you don’t cover any of the attachment loops…. you only make that mistake once !! Kriega also provide an easy attach shoulder strap for carrying the bags off the bike

I have a us20 and combine a us10 on top of my rear seat. They work great. I got hammered with rain ony last four day ride and everything was dry as a bone inside and the bags didn't move at all.

I like the idea of using the passenger sets to strap down instead of the underseat. Good call. I think the two 10's on each side is better then the top setup. I'll try that next trip.

View attachment 14042Easier to ride as you’ve strapped it down, but definitely harder to get a leg over and off. I’ve run into the same issue.
