Does anyone have any pointers to replacing the clutch cable? Fairing have to come off? Accessible under the fuel tank? Is it secured anywhere between the lever and the engine?

It clips to the bottom of the airbox.
I'd say it's a tank up job, but you can probably leave the airbox in place.
