Gentlemen,
I've noticed recently that my bike is clunking alarmingly loud from gearbox/clutch area. Whenever I ride and let off the throttle (especially 3rd and the worst 2nd gear) there are multiple clunks (3-5) coming from mentioned area, the sound is exactly as the clunking sound when shifting from neutral to 1st or if you flick the kickstand and let it lightly smash into folded position with power of spring. It hasn't happened before, the previous owner has installed custom levers where clutch one is a little bit loose and I have grinded the gears a small handful of times. Also when I raised the bike on rear paddock and took off the front sprocket plastic cover here what happens:
- engine on, gear = neutral, rear wheel not spinning
- engine on, gear = 1st & pressed in clutch, rear wheel spinning slightly
- engine on, gear = 1st & clutch engaged, rear wheel spinning with force as it should
- also front sprocket looked like it was rotating very very tiny bit off center.
I did not hear any clunking when trying to simulate the noise on paddock stand and bike was just revved but not under load like actual riding, sprockets teeth and chain are grand and adjusted. Is my gearbox knackered?
