- white smoke at cold start and disappears > pcv cleanup and thermostat 12-08-2023

- exhaust leak due age > akrapovic exhaust
- air filter 12-08-2023 > BMC
- spark plugs 12-08-2023 CR9EHIX-9
- thermostat 12-08-2023
- coolant bs6580 12-08-2023

- front fork seals and oil 20-08-2023
- radiator protector and chain guide rubber 03-09-2023

- horn replaced and gear indicator 05-10-2023

The new lines look fabulous. in terms of braking performance, how would you rate it as compared to stock rubber hoses? any major improvements in the lever feel, braking bike, etc.?

Yes, its harder finger/lever feel, brakes a lot harder and compared to the worn out hoses with high mileage.

That is my question. A rod knock doesn't just start after a bike sits a few days or even a few weeks, it's gradual unless there is a failure of something, contaminated oil or oil starvation. The video also does not sound like a typical rod to my ears; until its torn down you don't know.

@enshiu have you drained the oil to see what it looks like?

I’m asking if you’ve checked the oil currently in it for debris, gold flakes, chunks, whatever before calling the motor toast. If you haven’t, you have zero reason to believe it threw a rod.

That shouldn’t hurt a thing unless the throttle pinned for extended times while laying on its side.

Yeah, bearings material. The golden colour must had been due to heat caused by friction.
Must had been oil starvation on the bearings. I believe your analysis can be right. With the bike on it's side, pickup cannot catch oil from sump.
I guess that's why bikes have tip over sensors.

I haven't got time these few weeks but, I found a 2021 engine with only 3.2k mls/5k km and will be swapped inside my 2016 CB650F

Will be remapped after it and hopefully more hp as this is a 70kw/95hp engine.

Also my tip over sensor failed, I bought a second hand one to replace mine.

I got the engine out and putting missing parts on the new bike:
